Pastor Aaron Olinski
A building without the presence of God is just an empty shell. It doesn’t matter how many lights we have, how impressive our projections are, or how good the coffee tastes - if God isn’t showing up, there’s no real life change. That’s the sobering reality.
The church is not a structure. The church is us. You and I, as followers of Christ, are the church. And as a church, we’re committed to transforming the Space Coast. We are running after the heart of God and serving our community with everything we’ve got. A major part of that mission is reaching those who aren’t yet walking with Jesus.
That’s our mandate. That’s who we are.
The Vision Ahead: Reaching People, Expanding Space
We’re called to be a light in this community - to our neighbors, our coworkers, our city. There are people in your life right now who are hurting, searching for hope, and desperate for answers. They may not even know it yet, but they will find what they’re looking for here. And that’s why we’re building.
We’ve been working with an architect to develop the next phase of our church campus. The expansion is all east of our current building, moving toward Minton Road. This includes a future sanctuary, expanded lobby space, and a lot more parking. We want to fully utilize every bit of property God has entrusted to us.
Once the new sanctuary is complete, the existing building will become the Next Gen wing. The sanctuary we’re in right now will be transformed into space for kids on Sunday mornings, young adults on Tuesday nights, and youth on Wednesday nights. It’s all part of creating a place where lives are changed, and people encounter Jesus.
But here’s the truth: this only happens if we do it together.
The Goal: Building a Legacy
By now, you’ve likely seen the Building a Legacy commitment card. Maybe you set it aside, but I want to bring your attention back to it - because this is where we all come in.
Our minimum goal for this campaign is to raise $3 million over the next three years. But in faith, we’re really believing for $5 million, which is what it will take to fully realize this vision.
We’re trusting God for:
This is about big faith. It’s time for all of us to dig deep and do some real self-evaluation. When you hear these numbers, what stirs inside you? Does your faith rise, or do you feel overwhelmed?
What God Has Already Done
Let me remind you of what God did just five years ago. In the middle of a global pandemic, with fewer than 200 people meeting in a movie theater as a portable church, we raised $1.2 million. That’s what God did then.
What could He do now?
This isn’t just a bout brick and mortar. This is about faith. Yes, there’s a spiritual side, but there’s also a very real physical side - resources are necessary. And God has always worked through the sacrifice and generosity of His people.
Our Story: All In from Day One
When we planted this church 15 years ago, we faced the same kinds of questions. How would we make it work financially? As a family, we cashed in our only IRA - $18,000 - and used it to launch the church. It was the largest amount of money we had, and we gave it all, trusting that God would provide.
There was no backup plan.
That’s why one of our core values is all in. We’ve continued to give sacrificially, not just in tithes but above and beyond. And we’re praying again about what God is asking us to give in this next season. It’s never been about equal amounts, but about equal sacrifice.
How You Can Participate
Everyone can do something. We already give to nonprofit causes all the time - school fundraisers, lemonade stands, GoFundMe’s, and more. What we’re asking is that you take this commitment to God and make His church your top priority.
This is a three-year campaign. That’s 36 months of prayerful, consistent, sacrificial giving. You can submit your pledge through the physical card or digitally using the QR code. Our target for pledges is November 9, and it matters - not just to us, but to the bank, as we determine how much we can build and how much we may need to borrow.
Some of us will give from abundance. Others will give through disciplined budgeting. Many will give sacrificially. That’s where God moves in extraordinary ways.
What Does Sacrificial Giving Look Like?
Let’s get practical. For some, it might mean postponing a car upgrade. For others, it might be skipping a second vacation or cutting back on extras. Let’s talk about coffee for a moment.
If you spend $5 on coffee three times a week for 40 weeks a year, that’s over $500 annually. Over the course of this campaign, that’s $1,500 - just in coffee money. That’s real. That’s tangible. That’s what sacrificial giving looks like. Not always huge numbers, but real decision s made with purpose.
This Is Worth It
Think about the life change that’s already happened. Some of you are here because you’ve experienced that change. Now think about the people who aren’t here yet. They’re coming. And they’re going to encounter Jesus because of what we build together.
This is why we do what we do. This is why we lead the kind of church that we do. This is why I stand here and say without hesitation: this is worth it. I believe in this with everything in me.
Let’s see the people who aren’t here yet. Let’s believe for their breakthrough. Let’s create a space where they will meet Jesus - because He will move, and He is moving.
And He’s inviting us to be part of it.
Call to Action:
Pray. Ask God how He wants you to be involved. Then respond - through a pledge, through generosity, and through faith.
The future is being built now. Let’s build it together.
Let’s build a legacy. Let’s reach the Space Coast. Let’s believe together - for more.
